Our current projects are:

Project VAULT
After the end of the cold war, and the fall of the soviet union, the swedish military is decreasing in size, decreasing the number of troops as well as military installations. FFV (fortifikationsverket http://www.fortv.se/ ) are selling out some of the sites that are decided to lack a strategic value. Our Goal here is to buy a former defence installation dug into nuclear-safe depth in the hard swedish rock, there we will establish a library with systems for automatic fireprotection, as well as a server-room for our databases. Hopefully we will achieve for the world of today what the library of Alexandria was then, but without the risk of burning down (or up).

Project Biosphere
The biosphere projects run by NASA is very interesting indeed, both for exploring how other planets might be settled, as well as parts of our planet that is to hostile to sustain human life today. It is also deemed interesting from how we might survive after some major catastrophy, be it a cataclysmic change in climate or even a nuclear war. We have decided to start our own biosphere project, but that we will impose other constraints on the project than NASA did on theirs.

NASAs aproach was to calculate exactly what was needed and starting with that, if/when it was discovered that something was missing, and that something did not work the project was stopped and they started to calculate again.

We will start with an educated guess, probably using NASA's results, and when we notice that something is wrong, be it that there was to little soil for the crops, we will add it and make a note about it. This will continue until we have got a stable selfsustaining biosphere. Then we will calculate exactly what amount of resources was used, and in what order they had to be added and use that as base for a report and our design for a future biosphere.

We have also decided that it is not that interesting to find out how people react while being forced to live together during a long period of time, there are allready a lot of studies of this, so we will be able to change personell inside the biosphere during the project. all we have to do is being very careful about not loosing or gaining material during the change..

Project Academy
We wish to create an academy where interested researchers as well as all our members may go to study or take part of stored information free of cost. You may stay as long as you wish and study whatever you want, in return for doing some hours of work. It might be helping to catalogue the books or just writing down a comment about the book you are studying. The academy is planned to be as selfsustaining in energy and heating as possible, using solar and wind power, as well as pumping up heat from the ground.

Project Harvest
There are many good resources of ancient technologies and handicraft out on the web. Quite often entusiasts that burn for their subject and manages to aquire a good deal of information on their favourite subject. Sadly these sites disappear after a while. We wish to "mirror" all such sites we find, not to republish them, since that might be copyright violation. But to preserve the data, and after a while reorganize and make it searchable for members. For this we need an ever increasing amount of storagespace which you may donate to us.
